Transaction Journal i (TJ-i)

Counter Application

TJ-i is a cheque and credit capture solution that seamlessly integrates with existing counter applications or self-service ATMs.

TJ-i configuration

Using a small footprint scanning device, all of the information from the cheque, credit or voucher is captured, including the code line and image. Designated information is sent to the counter application and simultaneously the code line data and verified amount are passed to the back office and the image is stored in an onward image archive.

ATMs

Standard ATMs deposit and capture capabilities display cheque images on-screen.  TJ-i innovates the process and improves the customer experience by automating the cheque value verification process and confirming interpretation of the CAR/LAR (Courtesy Amount Recognition / Legal Amount Recognition), delivering an imaged receipt at the end of service access.

Card swipe

Data drawdown, activated by using a card swipe utility within a scanner, can similarly be relayed for verification of account status.  Combined transaction data and identity information is transferred into the counter application for further account processing.

Integration

At the close of business, or whenever it is required, TJ-i provides the portal for information to be merged into computer systems. The TJ-i electronic audit trail allows for instant reconciliation or a flexible interface, delivered with complete integrity. If a query or a discrepancy is subsequently flagged – access is rapid and simple to resolve processing anomolies. Images of credit slips and cheques can be used to consolidate keyed data.

Process history

A search tool is provided for users to retrieve any items using code line, amount and date information as well as counter position if this can be provided by the counter application.

Scaled to fit

Volume is not a challenge to TJ-i, nor location diversity - the scanning function can take place in one or an unlimited group of stations with the information retained locally. TJ-i  adapts to directly interface with information networks with images and data channelled to a choice of major archive or repository.
